It has been observed that if an actor delivers a character
that becomes larger than life, then the actor is never
able to get out of it. Chowdhary Hashmat, the famous
villain of Waris, played by Mehboob Alam, Hasnaat
Bhai of Uncle Urfi, played by Jamshed Ansari and Mr
Jaidee played by Ather Shah Khan are the best examples.
None of the above mentioned actors were able to get
out of the roles. Realizing the fact, Ali Saleem who
played Begum Nawazish Ali, has finally decided to
bid adieu to the character. In order to break Begum
Sahiba’s spell, he went ahead a little further
and announced that he will search his bride-to-be
through the media.
So gals, take our word! He has been in a lady’s
shoes for so long, we are sure he can prove to be
a good husband, as he knows exactly what women want.

Café Vision Celebrates its 200th episode
Indus Vision
Mondays 07:00 p.m.
With
the mushroom growth of privately owned television
channels and hundreds of programmes aired every week,
it is very difficult for a show to make its presence
felt. Café Vision, hosted by Rizwan Jaffer,
does not only enjoy a high number of viewers, it has
also achieved a huge milestone — aired 200 episodes.
In its 200th episode, an interesting debate was conducted
about how political and religious programmes have
beaten drama and music. At the end of the show, Rizwan
along with many students cut the cake. |

Road
Romeo
ATV
Thursdays 07:00 p.m.
It’s an entertaining, seriously funny
road show with Mani’s typical touch. The
show presents a variety of comprehensive views
and comments of common citizens. Road Romeo
is a carefree character played by Mani, who
is always on the move, asking people the silliest
and most bizarre questions, with the objective
of highlighting important issues of the society,
urging people to think and be positive. Syed
Amir Ali directs the show. It’s definitely
a funny bone tickler. |
