Veteran rock star Mick Jagger has vowed not to quit recording and touring with his other Rolling Stones’ band mates. The 64-year-old singer, who has just spent two years touring with the band, has clarified that he does not have any retirement plans at present. “I’m sure the Rolling Stones will do more things and more records and more tours. We’ve got no plans to stop any of that really,” the BBC quoted him as saying. “As far as I’m concerned, I’m sure we’ll continue,” he added. “The trouble is, when you get older or you smoke a lot, your voice changes. As a singer, you know you can’t go to certain notes. But that is not everything, it’s the expression you put into it,” he said. Jagger further said that it will be his “own judgement” that will guide him about when to call it quits.

Every music channel in Pakistan is repeatedly airing the song’s video and the song is surely on everybody’s lips. Announcing another Pakistani singer making a mark in the Indian film industry – it’s none other than our rock talent Shiraz Uppal. After the husky voice of Mustafa Zahid in Awarapan, it’s time for Shiraz to conquer the Indian music charts. Sounding extremely impressive in the sentimentally mournful soundtrack Roya Re, he steals all the limelight as the song emanates out as the brightest aspect of the album for its intense and passionate sentimental feel. Shiraz’s remarkable voice, clubbed with amicably balanced orchestration gives it an extra edge over other numbers. The song is featured in two versions in the album — one, the mellow number and the other a remix version by DJ Suketu. Like Roya Re, Shiraz Uppal’s most acclaimed album Jhuki Jhuki has memorabilia of soulful ballads and this too adds to his noteworthy credit list. Shiraz has certainly made us proud. Atta Boy!

Beyonce Knowles was due to make her debut in Kuala Lumpur in November this year, but was recently warned by organizers to cover up on-stage to avoid offending fans in the predominantly Muslim country. Malaysian students recently threatened to boycott a concert by Gwen Stefani, because of her raunchy reputation, but Stefani toned down her show accordingly.
And how did Beyonce deal with it? Well, apparently the R&B superstar refused to tone down her stage show in order to perform and simply cancelled her gig in Malaysia.
