The trend of casting Indian television actors in our plays has \ become norm and now Bollywood actors are following suit. Case in point being yesteryears’ heroine Poonam Dhillon who was seen showing off her acting talents on the mini screen. One can surely say that this trend is fast catching on, as news has it that the producers are now trying to rope in film actresses for their plays. In this run it is heard that ARY Digital has got the best of them all signed and sealed for their upcoming drama serial. Who is it? Well, it is none other than the undisputed diva of Bollywood, Rekha ji! She will be playing the main role in the aptly titled serial Devi to be shot in London, Dubai and Bulgaria. Directed by Sami Sani, written by Arshad Nadeem, the rest of the cast includes Nadeem, Maria Chauhan, Alvina, Mehmood Akhtar, Ayub Khusso and from UK Sameera Punu, David, Tina Segal and Bob Lashey. The cast also includes from Dubai Safi Nahani, Deepak Pawar and Rani Kothar among others.

News is that the chirpy host of the morning show Meena Bazar, Ayesha Sana has said goodbye to Karachi and shifted back to home town Lahore. It had been for quite a few years now that Ayesha had set up home in Karachi where she was successfully hosting the telly show Meena Bazaar. Her son, Ahad, had already shifted to Lahore earlier, and now Ayesha, after quitting the show, has also gone back. According to her, the daily routine was getting a bit too demanding and monotonous for her to keep up with and she needed some time for herself and her son. So does that mean she is back to square one? We don’t think so. Knowing her she would soon be coming up with something new and exciting to keep herself busy. Well, all we can say is that we’ll be waiting, Ayesha.
