Love him or hate him, but you can’t ignore him. Karan Johar sure takes his Koffee very seriously. He has come up with a novel idea of introducing Koffee Awards 2007 for the season’s finale of Koffee with Karan. The jury comprises of Malaika Arora, designer Rohit Bal and Cyrus Broacha. Besides the jury awards, there will be some surprise awards as well like ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ and ‘Favourite Episode of the Season’. One must hand it to Karan to keep the viewers glued to their favourite show till the end. |

News has it that TV One has roped none other than Sangeetaji to direct a 26-episode drama serial. This will be Madame Sangeeta’s debut as director on the idiot box. Thank God the viewers are not in for some blood and gore on TV for which our madam is famous. Sangeeta is taking utmost care to come up with an interesting and quality project, which the viewers will enjoy watching. The recording of the serial is in full swing in Lahore and it will go on air soon on the said channel. The cast includes Babar Ali, Ahsan Khan, Fariha Jabeen, Sheeba Butt, Meera and many others. Sounds like a good deal. So wait and watch! |

With talent in abundance, her contemporaries find her aspiring. Veteran theatre and television actress Sania Saeed is known for taking up roles with substance. She will be seen in her first-ever role of a classical dancer in the soon-to-be-aired drama serial Jhumka Jaan, portraying the lead character by the same name. Essentially a love story in essence, the serial follows the life, love, betrayal and regrets of the protagonist Jhumka Jaan. To prepare for the challenging role, Sania was heard stating that for a non-dancer like her, it was a difficult task but the guidance of classical dancer Amjad Ansari (who taught her the intricacies of the dance form in the little time that they had before the shooting got underway) helped her immensely. Sania was also quoted as saying that due to her lack of dancing abilities, she hopes that she has done justice to the role! Well folks, Sania is definitely a thorough professional who believes in working hard. |
