It has been quite a few years since she has been out of the Lollywood scene. She has been trying desperately to breathe some life into her dead status in the filmic sweepstakes but to no avail as the movie moguls have been showing her a ‘no response’ board. Sometime back she even released the shosha of doing a Bollywood project. But as suspected, it turned out to be a dud, the minute she came out with this jhoot. Who are we talking about? The lady in red of course, Nirma. Feeling a bit rejuvenated due to her latest outing at the LSA show in Malaysia and that rather revealing dress that she wore there, she is trying to revive her career with the aid and advice of some well-wishers. She has already gotten some contacts and is approaching film-makers et al. Not only that, she is so eager to get back in the news that in a recent TV interview, she chirpily commented that she is doing a shoot with a designer whose correct ‘sar’ name she didn’t know. The height of desperation we must say. Let’s see if her career manages to rise from the ashes or will it be ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Just wait and watch!

Actor/director Shan is working on his next directorial project called Zille Shah, which is being tipped as the sequel to Syed Noor’s successful movie, Majajan. Shan found himself in hot water as he could not find a suitable performer for the role Mustafa Qureshi’s wife in the film. He approached Madame Bahar for the role. However, she quoted too high a price of Rs. one lac. Shan has now signed Deeba Begum for the role for a less price of course. Hmmm! Let’s hope things do not go haywire this time round.

Announcing the new TV host in town! Yes, it’s none other than our Lollywood queen, Reema. After having a go at acting on television, then making an impression with her big screen directorial debut and last but not least, taking the nation by storm with her latest Lux campaigns, she is now venturing into another new territory. Our little birdie has told us that the intrepid lass has been approached for hosting a show on television and she has decided to take up the challenge. Great going, Reema!

Finally, she is back in tinsel town. No folks, we are not talking about Neeli or Babra Sharif… yawn… but our radiant lass Noor. After a long absence from the silver screen, Noor has decided to come out of her self-imposed hiatus. And the credit of roping her back to the world of bright lights and dark alleys goes to none other than our Shan, who has signed her for his directorial comeback flick Zille Shah. But news has it that even though Noor is said to be playing a powerful role, the main lead of the movie is Saima as usual.
