Hotel heiress Paris Hilton, Hollywood hottie Lindsay Lohan and pop princess Britney Spears are the new leading trio, who have made a name being bad. Each is as bad as the other, but not to be outdone in the notoriety department by her fame-seeking rivals is Spears, who manages to stay in the news for all the wrong reasons.

When she’s not inappropriate or having public breakdowns, she’s puking all over her designer dress during a photo shoot or hurling abuses at her mother.

And her more recent topless romp with an extra has taken the cake and made the once-pop princess, the undisputed queen of trash

Michael Jackson’s new album sold just 8,000 copies in its first week in the US. The greatest hits CD charted as low as 128 as fans snubbed the star. The flop is a huge blow for Jacko, 46, who hoped to make a comeback after he was cleared of child sex abuse charges last month.

The Essential Michael Jackson was even beaten by 1970s star Carly Simon’s new CD Moonlight which sold 58,000 copies. A spokeswoman for Neilsen Soundscan, which monitors US record sales, confirmed, “Carly Simon sold 50,000 more albums than Michael Jackson.” The figures are a far cry from Jacko’s heyday when he sold 40 million copies of Thriller worldwide.

The singer has scarcely been seen since he was acquitted of abusing teenager Gavin Arvizo. He was taken to hospital with dehydration after the trial and then fled America for a holiday in Bahrain.

Bollywood music director Vinay Tiwari, who had once been on the Sa Re Ga Ma reality show as a celebrity judge has come down heavily on TV music talent hunts, saying the judges on these shows are just puppets and more often than not the winners can’t sing. Said Vinay, “Now the personality of the singer has also become a criterion for selection. These winners cannot sing in the studio for even five minutes.” He firmly believes that music talent hunts have now turned into marketing tools for TV channels and telecom service providers to squeeze money out of the public. Vinay believes that to boost TRP ratings, channels bank on public emotions and fabricate controversies.

Even though he has also donned the cap of a celebrity judge, he claims that judges do not have the decision-making power. The final decision entirely depends on the audience.
To a certain extent, one can agree with Vinay

And yet again we have another of our talent who has landed in Bollywood. He is none another than our very own Chan Vey Rahim Shah. After returning from his first ever trip to Mumbai, the singer confirmed that he has completed work on one film titled Take Off and signed three more films as a music composer. Not just composing but Rahim, the singer, has also firmly planted himself in Mumbai as his new album Charcha will simultaneously release in Pakistan as well as India. Not only that, Rahim has also shot for some music videos featuring songs from his upcoming album and signed a contract by virtue of which he will hold concerts in different cities of India. Wow! Must say, Rahim has firmly set foot in Bollywood and that too in his first attempt!
