Khushbakht Shujat (MNA/Educationalist/TV Host)
1. My mother, Begum Rashida Hatim was the driving force in my formative years. Later, I got married and Shujat Ali Baig, my dear husband, who hails from a much respected family like myself, was the greatest support in my life and he still is. He truly believes in me and supports me in every possible way. His greatest virtue is the respect he has for me, allowing me to take up challenges with grace and dignity.
2. Today’s females, first and foremost, must realise that they are firstly Muslim and then Pakistani women. They must believe in the true values of our religion, culture and tradition. Once you are aware of your values, you can achieve anything in life. Be it a housewife or a top-notch company head, all women have to be strong and must show perseverance. Sky is the limit for the woman of today!
Seema Tahir Khan
(Chairperson, TV One)
1. My husband Taher Khan has supported me, believed in me, guided me and let me chase my dreams.
My greatest source of inspiration has been the iconic Muslim women who, through their faith and courage blazed new trails, inspiring millions to follow. Women empowerment is not a magic pill given by the state to every female citizen. It is the strength and confidence that she has to acquire on her own.
2. Women will have to cease blaming circumstances and social practices for their lower status. Instead, they have to do a self-analysis to gauge their own potential. Their empowerment will come slowly and gradually but only if they make a deliberate attempt to acquire it through:
Do not consider yourself to be a victim of circumstances. Have the courage to change them to your benefit.
Mehtab Akbar Rashdi

And then, after my marriage, my husband, Akbar Rashdi.
2. I believe that all that the Pakistani women have achieved, with their relentless efforts, cannot be snatched away from them. It’s a major achievement. Still, there are millions of other women who need to be rescued from the gloom of illiteracy and be empowered economically.
Sultana Siddiqui (Chairperson, HUM TV)
1. My main source of inspiration has been my elder brother Mazhar-ul-Haq Siddiqui, who has always been a beacon of hope and a symbol of reliability for me.
2. Our young generation should show their dedication, commitment, responsibility and honesty towards their work and in general towards everything in life. With these qualities and attributes plus hard work, achieving the targeted goals in life would become a sort of surety for them.
Nabila (Stylist)
1. It would be a cliché to say my inspiration comes from my family, who have always supported me; but I must admit my inspiration comes from digging deeper into my feelings and experiences.
2. I feel sad when I see the state of emotional health of women in general, and our country in particular. We have been brought up to be nurturers’ and serve our parents, husbands and children. This engrained message keeps us from attending to ourselves, leading to suppression, depression, dissatisfaction and dependency. Invest in yourself first, and everything else will fall in place.
Naila Kassim

1. Surely, my greatest support has been my parents.
