Umme Kulsoom has been crowned 2008’s Pantene Shine Princess. She was awarded 20 tola gold bars and a laptop by Pantene.
The final winner of the Pantene Shine Princess 2008 was decided by a panel of experienced and renowned judges which included Sahira Kazmi, Zainab Qayyum, and Nina Lotia. Their keen insights on finding the perfect blend of shining hair, shining heart and a shining personality were instrumental in identifying Pantene’s Shine Princess.
Sharing her comments on the initiative, renown television personality and a Pantene Shine Princess judge, Sahira Kazmi said, “I appreciate this initiative taken by Pantene, which is the first of its kind in Pakistan. I am sure that this has been a source of encouragement for the female youth of our country.”

Nando’s celebrated Valentine’s Day by inviting underprivileged children. Children from the Extra-Corp (an NGO), made handicrafts and brought them along to the venue of the celebration. The day and event was named ‘Chicken with a Heart’. Children from Shehzad Roy’s Zindagi Trust were also present. They enjoyed the ambience, gathering and the great grilled chicken. The children, after enjoying a sumptuous meal, were given goody bags which included colour books, crayons, puzzles and toys.
 
   
 
Fruits Frais is Pakistan’s first concept store. It claims to stock “art, fashion and weird essentials”. A walk through the trendy outlet in Khadda Market gives one the feeling of being transported to SoHo district, NYC. The store houses small paraphernalia as well as art by foreign artists Merijn Hoss from the Netherlands and Derek Lerner from New York. The whole feel of the store is foreign, and very minimalist- contemporary.
