He
was a businessman from India, she was a shinning star
from Pakistan, and jab they met in Dubai, sparks flew.
Yes, folks, we are talking about the pretty Noor and
Vikram Mandani, who after falling head over heal in
love, decided to get married in 2004. Although, the
holy matrimony had its conditions, Noor wanted Vikram
to convert to Islam which he agreed on and changed
his name to Waqar. But wait, the man had his condition
for Noor as well, namely she will bid goodbye to showbiz
forever. Tell me which Lollywood lass would want to
leave the glitz, glamour and the spotlight? Life was
a dream for the couple, but soon, the inevitable happened!
Vikram did not keep his promise and they ended up
becoming a bickering couple. With a broken heart,
Noor came running back to Pakistan and started working
in showbiz, making the situation worse; they stubbornly
stuck to their views. Unwilling to compromise, despite
the efforts of their friends, news has it that after
being separated for a year, Noor finally filed for
divorce. News on the divorce is, that it will soon
be finalised after the completation of some paper
work. When contacted, Noor, who is busy shooting for
director Faisal Bukhari’s film “Bhai loug”
in Karachi said, “My husband did not keep his
promise, which created a tussle between us. I think
it’s always better to part ways when the issues
between a couple remain unresolved.”
Indeed a sad ending, to a sweet love story! |

You
can never get enough of Meera; the controversial babe
will find one reason or the other to stay in the news.
Latest on the diva is an internet clip on YouTube,
which is making the rounds, where Meera jee is seen
conversing in English. No, no, folks do not fret,
believe us you will enjoy seeing Meera murdering the
English language! The said clip is a pilot programme
for some English channel, where she was asked to host
a talk show. Meera is seen taking ace photographer,
Tapu Javeri’s interview. While giving an introduction,
Meera is seen struggling to mouth a simple phrase
like, ‘fashion photographer’. So what
was the lady saying? Believe it or not, Meer pronounces
it as ‘fatographer’! Many retakes could
not solve her predicament, and poor Tapu holding his
breath, tried hard not to laugh. The icing on the
cake was when Meera decided to move forward with the
recording, telling the viewers to go on a break saying,
“We will be the back after right short break”
Arrey…control your laughter people, there is
more to come, considering its Meera and her fun-filled
gimmicks to stay in the media. |
